April 3, 2010

We had our annual dyeing of eggs on the Saturday before Easter. We went outside and spent awhile turning our eggs beautiful shades. The Boy, of course, thought this was great fun--and kept dropping the eggs into the plastic cups with no degree of gentleness. We stuck on stickers and drew with crayons--and ate hard boiled eggs for the next several weeks.

We also planted our hanging strawberry plants the same day. The kids had fun following the directions by adding water and watching the soil expand in the buckets. This is our first year trying strawberries this way--so we will see how it goes. . .
