Today was a big day. As a public schooler, you would think that homeschoolers wouldn't get busy near the end of the school year. And you would be wrong.

Today was the day the girls had to play for the Guild judge for piano. This means that they each have to have ten separate piano pieces memorized, along with the appropriate scale for each piece (depending upon which key the piece is in.) I didn't take any pictures, because it is just the student and the judge allowed in the room. Then the guild judge gives them a report card later with comments regarding areas of improvement, etc. Both of the girls played today--and they did well! And we were all glad it was OVER.

Then, tonight was our end of year achievement fair for our homeschool co-op. This is the night we showcase all of our art for the entire year, put on a short skit, let the younger children sing songs, and showcase our writing projects and other work that we have done during the entire school year. All of the grandparents and fathers and other friends and relatives also get to see what we do and stress about every Monday. Princess sang "It's a Grand Old Flag" with her class, and Domestic Goddess performed in a short skit with her class, as did Cupcake. The boy ran around like crazy. He and Princess got to take home a book with all of their art projects collected in it for the entire year---so they were pleased.
